Did you know that this combination of vehicles would be considered a commercial motor vehicle and subject to DOT requirements depending on your company’s operation, such as where you travel on any given day? Furthermore, if you use a larger power unit (F550/C5500) pulling a trailer with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) at or above 10,001 lbs., the driver would be subject to DOT CDL Class A requirements.
